Delete Your Account

You can request deletion of your Meetley account and all associated data at any time. This page explains how to do that directly from the app, and what happens to your data once you proceed.

How to delete your account

Account deletion is built directly into the Meetley app. Follow these steps:

1. Open the Meetley app on your device.
2. Go to the Profile tab and tap Settings.
3. Scroll to the Account Management section at the bottom.
4. Tap Delete Account.
5. Select a reason for leaving (required), then confirm your decision.
6. Your account will be permanently deleted and you will be signed out immediately.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from Meetley's servers:

• Your profile — name, phone number, bio, profile photos, and interests
• Your location data and discovery settings
• Events you created (unpaid events are cancelled and members are notified)
• Your connections, sent requests, and blocked user list
• All messages in your connection chats and event chats
• Your notification preferences and account settings
• Face verification data, if applicable

Retention period

Your data is permanently deleted from our active systems immediately upon account deletion. Certain anonymised or aggregated records (such as event attendance counts) may be retained for up to 30 days in backup systems before being fully purged. No personally identifiable information is retained after this period.
